The II Mallorca International Football Cup, Women’s Tournament, organized by the Vicente del Bosque Football Academy, has set a new milestone in its second year in Calvià, consolidating itself as the tournament with the greatest international projection and attracting participants from all over the world to Mallorca during Easter.
With more than 350 soccer players from more than 7 countries, the event has offered four intense days of soccer in Magaluf (Calvià), taking advantage of the excellent facilities and offering a variety of complementary activities in the municipality. This combination has made it possible to merge sport, values and family tourism during these days.
Highlighting the continued growth and improvement of women’s soccer, the tournament witnessed exciting matches, culminating in an epic final between two international teams: SL Benfica of Portugal and FC Nordsjælland of Denmark.
In addition, the semifinals, also held on Sunday morning, were equally exciting. Hammarby IF of Sweden took third place, while Atletico Madrid finished fourth after a close contest.
The Mallorca International Football Cup, Women’s Tournament has proven to be a showcase for international sporting talent and a celebration of the spirit of soccer that transcends borders and cultures. The broadcasting of the tournament on LIGA+ has significantly increased the visibility of the organization’s and Mallorca’s commitment to women’s sports.
The organization of the event is deeply grateful to the institutions for their support, as well as to the technical teams and families for contributing to create an exceptional environment. This event has once again reaffirmed the fundamental principles that we promote in our academy: sportsmanship, values and respect for the game.
The next edition of the MIFC Tournament, Vicente del Bosque, will be held in June, again in Calvià from June 20 to 25.
